A little less than $1 million a month, according to an accounting filed in L.A. County Superior Court. Lawyers for Spears’ father, who has permanent control of her personal affairs, submitted the document Friday to the judge supervising the conservatorship.

The filing explains down to the penny how Jamie Spears and an attorney who helps him oversee her business interests spent more than $10 million on the singer’s behalf over the course of 11 months last year. The costs detailed range from the mundane – water bills, phone bills, and mortgage payments for her Studio City house – to charges that hint at her celebrity status, including a Malibu beach house, assistants’ salaries and round-the-clock security.

Body guards and other security measures cost Spears $447,633, the accounting shows. More than a third of the money paid out – $3.6 million – went to lawyers. At least 17 attorneys have worked on personal and business matters connected to Spears since February 2008, when a court determined she was unable to manage her affairs. Her father’s attorneys alone billed $1 million.

A family court judge ordered the conservatorship to pay her ex-husband’s attorney $625,000 as part of the settlement of the divorce and custody cases, according to the accounting. By court order, Spears paid her former husband, Kevin Federline, $178,818 in support for their two sons and $168,790 to her father for acting as conservator, the documents show.

She received $55,500 in spending money. Many personal expenses were redacted for privacy reasons, including her medical fees, her children’s tuition and “personal grooming” bills, which the accounting described as massages, nail care, makeup and hair. The document did, however, reveal that Spears spent $3,400 on Christmas decorations and $5,840 to have her holiday lights removed.

The document provides little information about Spears’ income. Her assets, which have been estimated at more than $100 million, are held mostly in a private trust from which the conservatorship requests living expenses. The 27-year-old is scheduled to kick off a European tour next month.

Another Britney Spears concert, another YouTube moment. We’ve already seen her enthusiastically greet a crowd in San Jose, California, with, “What’s up Sacramentoooo!,” delay another concert because it was too smoky in the arena, and get caught saying embarrassing things about her lady parts on a live mic.

On Wednesday night in Oakland, California, the Circus tour magic continued. During one song, Spears was splayed out on a chaise lounge when one of her leather-clad dancers, suspended by wires, was lowered down to pick her up for a mid-air snuggle. Only problem was that some of her hair extensions were stuck to the chair and were ripped out as Spears was lifted into the air. Had to be painful, but Britney nonetheless spun through the air with her mohawked dancer before being gently returned to Earth.

Jessica Simpson is said to be trying to convince Britney Spears for a new TV show like Laverne & Shirley, according to Contact Music. A source dished:

“Britney seems genuinely interested in working with her. She’s said they’ll talk further when she finishes her Circus tour.

And Jessica wants to prove to the world that she’s a talented, funny actress, not just some silly airhead.”

The mother of Britney Spears’ rumoured boyfriend , back up dancer Chase Benz, is upset over reports of the hook-up as he already has a girlfriend.
Benz’s mother Diane is livid and has told her son that Spears will never be welcomed in her family home in Tennessee, reported Daily Mirror online.

“Chase has already got a girlfriend. Her name is Tessa Campbell and she is a fantastic girl. They’ve been going out for three years, she’s the same age and they are great together,” said Diane.

Britney has reportedly been dating the 21-year-old dancer, for some weeks now and the alleged couple also perform some racy sequences together on stage during the shows in her ongoing ‘Circus’ tour.

“Britney was all over Chase from the word go. He was determined to keep things professional but Britney has been making it difficult by being extremely suggestive. Chase has been dating Tessa, his childhood sweetheart, for over three years and she is livid about the reports as is Chase’s mum. Diane has ordered him to stay away from Britney and made it clear she’s not welcome in the family home,” a source close to Benz told the magazine.

Problems with Britney Spears’ Circus tour almost kept the show from going on in Vancouver, where the singer walked off stage during a sold-out concert.

Three songs into her performance Wednesday night, Spears left the stage while the GM Place audience sat in darkness for more than half an hour, according to the Vancouver Sun. A female voice told the booing crowd that the show was stopped because smoke was making everyone on stage uncomfortable, including Spears.

When the smoke cleared, Spears returned to finish her set, saying only “What’s up, Vancouver?” during her performance of “Everytime. Closing the show with “Womanizer,” she urged the audience, “Vancouver, don’t smoke weed” — a remark sure to inspire rampant speculation about the source of all that smoke.

Spears’ publicist said after the show that “crew members above the stage became ill due to a ventilation issue,” according to The Associated Press.

Spears kicked off the Circus tour, which spans North America and England, in New Orleans on March 3. The singer’s father and attorney’s are looking to expand the lip-synch-fest, according to the AP.

Oh, Brit-Brit. Girlfriend just had so much pent-up energy at the end of her 90-minute concert on April 6, she wanted to keep the party going!

At the end of her encore at Monday night’s Edmonton, Canada show, Britney Spears told the audience, “We’re going to rock out with our c*cks out!” This comes a month after she had another hilariously innapropriate mic slip-up at one of her Circus stops.

Sort of like a wayward career, Britney Spears is going to disappear into thin air—and then magically reappear, to her fans’ ecstatic delight.

“Right away, she got into the boxes and into the magic contraptions to learn the stuff, and she’s so excited about this tour and all the elements that are in it,” illusionist-comedian Ed Alonzo, “the Misfit of Magic” (and former Saved by the Bell diner owner) who will be doing a number with Spears on her Circus tour, tells E! News.

The pop star will serve as Alonzo’s assistant in the bit.

“We’re going to be doing the classics of magic but a little high-tech,” he said. “We’ll be doing a little dissection, transposition, a vanish, an appearance—and if I do a trick, she doesn’t just hold the props, she’s actually getting inside the big boxes or I am slicing her up.”

Sounds a bit risky, which is perhaps why Team Spears decided to leave the tricks to a professional.

I “made [the tricks] really easy for her…but there are some complicated things that she is doing that you would think a contortionist would have to do, or a trained magician’s assistant,” Alonzo said. “But because…she’s a dancer, it really makes sense to put her in the magic, and it works and she’s really, really good at it.”

“Some of it’s pretty scary, but she gets right in there with no reservations,” added Alonzo, who also serves as a lead illusionist on the MyNetworkTV show Masters of Illusion.

He wouldn’t divulge which Spears tunes would be accompanying his mini magic show, but—news flash—Alonzo did assure us that the overall show will feature “the best music of Britney that people have loved over the years and, of course, brand-new favorites from the new album.”

And, like us, Alonzo has only seen Spears in warm-up clothes and sneakers during rehearsals, although she has been testing out different pairs of heels here and there.

The three-ring circus-inspired set is “exactly what you would see in a big giant Vegas production show, but it’s going to be on the road,” he said, and anywhere from 75 to 100 crew members and performers are usually around at any given time.

“It’s going to be an amazing concert for people to watch,” he said. “It’s like watching a big Cirque du Soleil high-tech circus, but with a really focused star in the middle of all of this.”

With only a day until Britney Spears takes the stage as the ringleader of her Circus tour, the singer is giving fans a sneak peak of what they can expect from the stage show. (MTV News will be there for the tour’s opening in New Orleans — check back for a full report!)

On Britney’s Web site, the singer posted a set list of songs she’ll be singing, which includes a mix of tracks from throughout her career — check it out here! The concert will take place in a three-ring-circus set design. In the first act, titled “Circus,” the show will kick off with the previously reported Perez Hilton video, followed by the songs “Circus” and “Piece of Me.”

In the “House of Fun (Anything Goes)” segment of the show, Britney will perform “Boys,” new single “If U Seek Amy” and more. Next up, Britney takes her fans to the “Freakshow/Peepshow,” followed by the “Electro Circ.” For those sections, Britney has a slew of fan favorites lined up, including “Slave,” “Toxic,” a ” … Baby One More Time” remix — and, intriguingly, what is apparently a Bollywood take on her collaboration with Madonna, “Me Against the Music.”

It’s already been revealed that Spears will hit the road with the Pussycat Dolls, as well as illusionist and former “Saved by the Bell” actor Ed Alonzo. In a clip on Britney’s site, fans can get a sneak peek of Britney’s rehearsals for the tour. Britney seems to be back to her old form: dancing in cages, scantily clad and wearing sparkles.

Also, Britney has been named the new model for Candie’s. Dressed in a bra and panties, a leopard-print crop top and a plaid dress, Britney mugs for the camera for Candie’s. “We’re so glad to be doing this with you,” a Candie’s spokeswoman says in the video.

The tour kicks off Tuesday in New Orleans, near where Britney grew up in Louisiana. “I am so excited for her, and I wish I could be there,” Britney’s aunt, Linda Ann Brandon-Kjos, told People. “All the family is there and supporting her. I’m sure that she is going to be just fine. I think it is going to be something really special.”
